The Medici family

This family was very important during the Renaissance. They first attained wealth and political power in Florence during the 13th century throught it's succes in commerce and banking.Cosimo Medici, was the founder of "The Medici Dynasty". Lorenzo Medici , also know as Lorenzo The Magnificent was the prince of Florence. Thanks to him, the family fortune was duplicated. This two people were the most important members of the Medici family.There were also three popes and two queens.
